Counselling For Families
Family members are certainly unique, and each with differing perspectives, needs, values and wants. These differences can lead to difficult situations and cause conflict within families.

Family counselling can help with:

-
Managing family dynamics
-
Family conflict
-
Parenting skills
-
Couple conflict about parenting
-
Blended family or step-family issues.

In family counselling I focus on your family as a unit or system and not just individual members. I can help your family work towards healthier relationships and facilitate improved communication so that all your family members feel valued, understood and accepted.
Family Counselling Can Help When...
-
Your family is dealing with a major life event such as moving, changing jobs, loss of a loved one, divorce etc.
-
Communication within your home has become ineffective or bitter.
-
Your family spends more time fighting than enjoying each other.
-
Your family relationships become distant or awkward.
-
Efforts to connect result in arguments.
-
Your family members avoid each other.

If you can relate to any of the above, then family counselling may help.
Family Sessions
Family counselling provides an opportunity for the whole family to look at any issues in a nurturing, and safe environment, where you can explore difficulties including problems with communication and relationships. Your family can be supported while you identify reasons for the problems you are encountering and possible ways forward.

Choosing the right counsellor for you is an important process. Because of this I offer a 15 minute free telephone consultation where there is no obligation or commitment to book any further sessions, allowing you to see if you feel comfortable with me and the way that I work.
